2 DAY TOUR FLY ZANZIBAR TO NYERERE PARK

We will pick you up from your hotel for a quick transfer to Abeid Karume International Airport. Your flight to Nyerere Park takes off at 7:30 am and you’ll touch down near the park at 8:30 am. Zanzibar – Nyerere Park/Selous Game Reserve 1 Hour Flight You’ll lightly touch down at a convenient airstrip near the park. Waiting for you will be your Hidaya Africa Tours & Travel driver/guide who will take your bags and bring you to your own 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep, for the quick drive to the park. We’ll get settled at our accommodation and set off in our 4 x 4 for our first game drive. The rainforests, woodlands, and plains of the park are alive with wildlife – impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo, rhino, and the big cats – lions, leopards, and cheetahs. We’ll pause for a coffee break and see which wildlife we can spot as we relax in this beautiful natural setting. Then we’re off for more animal spotting before we take lunch around noon. Nothing beats dining out in the bush and we’ll enjoy our meal at a hearty table set out for us. The afternoon will find us traveling over the plains, past forests, and waterways spotting herds of antelope, elephants, giraffes, and more. You can’t miss the birdlife here, well over 400 species including eagles, vultures, storks, kingfishers, ibis, and so many others. Toward late afternoon, we’ll head back to our safari lodge. We will spend the evening at our Nyerere lodge or tented camp.

We’re on safari so let’s get up early and take advantage of the beautiful dawning day in the park. We’ll enjoy breakfast and head back to the airstrip for your 8:40 am lift-off back to Zanzibar. You’ll arrive there at about 9:30. At Abeid Karume Airport your Hidaya Africa Tours & Travel driver will greet you and bring you back to your hotel or resort, with plenty of time for a full day at the beach. Is this the way to safari?
